Arbor Healthcare Recruits Senior Executive to Lead Expanded Provider Services Operation

Franklin, Tenn., February 4, 2008—Arbor Healthcare, a healthcare claims expert that specializes in resolving payment errors, has recruited Toni S. Hatch, senior director of patient financial services for Community Health Systems (CHS), to lead its services for hospitals, medical practices and other providers. In the new position of executive vice-president of provider services, Hatch will oversee hiring, training and management of Arbor’s on-site analysts.

Hatch brings important experience to Arbor’s fast-growing business of analyzing and resolving credit balances for health plans and providers. With a client-centered service model unique to the industry, Arbor optimizes recoveries for health plans by building strong relationships with providers.

“Toni’s extensive experience in revenue cycle management, combined with her perspective as a customer of the services we offer, will enable us to sharpen our focus on what’s most important to providers,” says J. Howard Ragsdale, Arbor’s chief executive.  “Toni’s skill in recruiting and managing people and instituting effective business processes will ensure that we continue to produce world-class results for the growing number of health plans and providers we work with.”

“Arbor brings a fresh approach to resolving claims that is attracting more and more health plans and providers,” says Hatch. “It’s very exciting to join a business that delivers such a valuable service and has such a bright future.”

Hatch, who joins Arbor on February 4, has held several senior positions at CHS and Triad Hospitals Inc., including interim vice-president of business office operations and division director of business office operations for Triad’s 55 hospitals. CHS and Triad merged in 2007 to create the largest publicly traded U.S. hospital chain with 130 hospitals in 28 states. Hatch spent several years as a consultant focused on patient accounting and financial operations for Triad before joining the company as a full-time employee.

Prior to CHS and Triad, Hatch served in increasingly more senior roles in business operations and patient accounting for Columbia Suburban Hospital in Louisville, Ky.; Trinity Medical Center in Moline, Ill.; Des Moines General Hospital; and Charlotte Mecklenburg Hospital Authority. She started her healthcare career in the business office of an AMI hospital in Lincolnton, NC.

Hatch holds an associate degree in arts from Gaston College. She is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and American Association of Health Care Administrative Management.
