Director of Provider Services - Boston, MA
Arbor Healthcare is a healthcare claims expert that specializes in resolving payment errors quickly, efficiently and securely for health plans and providers. We optimize recoveries for health plans by working closely with providers to analyze and resolve credit balances. With a client-centered service model unique to the industry, we focus on developing strong and enduring relationships with both health plans and providers.
The ideal candidate for our Director of Provider Services will have previous management experience, exceptional organizational skills, proven success in building and maintaining business relationships, prior experience in hospital and/or medical billing offices, thorough knowledge of claims processing and analysis and a strong desire for success.
OBJECTIVES:
- Build and manage provider relations in designated region/state, while performing on-site credit balance reviews at hospitals and billing offices, recovering overpayments for health plan clients and analyzing and resolving credit balances for providers.
- Supervise team of Provider Services Analysts in designated region/state, conduct performance reviews, counsel staff; manage daily scheduling of analysts, handle performance improvement and disciplinary actions, conduct interviews as required.
- Build and maintain positive business relationship with hospital business office staff.
- Identify barriers to success and develop strategy to overcome these barriers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior management experience in a healthcare environment, ideally having supervised staff in a hospital business office or medical billing office.
- Prior experience working with managed care contracts.
- Proven success in team building and fostering positive team environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to maintain and enhance existing client relationships; previous client service experience or customer contact experience.
- Strong computer/data entry skills; adaptability to new systems.
- Thorough knowledge of the daily operations related to the application, balancing, and logging of payments and reimbursement transactions.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Willingness to travel locally up to 50 or 75%.
